How long is bike lock supposed to be?
I am planning to get a 26″ road bike, a U-lock, and a chain lock. How big/long are the U-lock and chain lock supposed to be to lock like this

How longs a piece of string? it really depends on what your attaching it to, if its to a parking meter like it says then perhaps 8″ wide (depending on the size of meter).
The chain link can be as long as you like, but make sure with both you get the hardend steel ones or better that way its supposed to take longer to break.
